| About Position | The
individual consultant has to do following work including but not limited to: 1. Check and inspect equipment's and/or equipment components as per project requirements 2. Verify the suitability and Feasibility of the selected machinery proposed in subproject submitted by Community Based Organizations (CBOs) under SMART Project. 3. To Provide Technical Guidance to CBO's pertaining to machineries proposed in subprojects. 4. Advise the project officials and other project partners on the technical considerations of agricultural machinery 5. Develop detailed specifications for the value chain machinery proposed by CBOs and processing with regards to productivity and environmentally soundness 6. Provide technical advice on the training needs for equipment operations and maintenance 7. Participate in all evaluation bidding processes and provide technical evaluation reports and maintain various reports data as per Projects requirements 8. Perform any other duty assigned by competent authority. 9. Ensuring that inspection activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner. 10. Any tasks within the context of the procurement of the agricultural equipment component of the project, and subsequent projects in the SMART project. 11. Actively contribute to the development of the project's Quality Management Plan and facilitate its implementation throughout the project cycle 12. Perform any other duties assigned by Competent
authority from time to time |

| Qualification Description | Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Degree in food technology |

| Experience Description | For Diploma holder-Minimum 5 years experience of which 3 years in Post Harvest Technology in agriculture commodity in public or private sector. Preference will be given to the candidate having work experience in World Bank or externally aided project. For Degree holder -Minimum 3 years experience of which 2 years in Post Harvest Technology in agriculture commodity in public or private sector. Preference will be given to the candidate having work experience in World Bank or externally aided project. |
