The Counsellor will provide guidance and support to patients and beneficiaries, understand their concerns, facilitate appropriate referrals and services, maintain relevant records, and support healthcare teams in addressing psychosocial and programme-related needs.

The candidate must have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work / Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counseling Psychology / Sociology / Public Administration from any recognized University/Institution with at least 55% marks. OR The candidate must have passed a Master's Degree in Social Work / Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Counseling Psychology / Sociology / Public Administration from any recognized University/Institution with at least 55% marks.

Age Limit (as on 31/08/2026): 21–65 years only.

 The candidate must have a minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience in the health or social sector

Responsibility Matrix:

1. Provide qualified manpower and deliver counselling services as defined by the State.
2. Provide counselling services at the Integrated Counselling Centre at Non-FRU CHC/UCHC level.
3. Participate in training programmes organized for Counsellors by the concerned authority.
4. Use the prescribed counselling tools and maintain the required records.

Major Deliverables:

1. Ensure that the Integrated Counselling Centre remains operational 6 days a week, in line with OPD timings.
2. Provide counselling services to antenatal, postnatal, adolescent, DEIC, PMSMA, NCD, GBV and other cases as required.
3. Conduct individual, group, and family counselling sessions based on the needs of the beneficiaries.
4. Conduct counselling sessions at Counselling Centres, wards, DEICs, and other designated locations.
5. Provide follow-up counselling through tele-consultation wherever required.
6. Provide counselling to adolescent boys and girls – minimum 150 per month
